San Diego Label LLC · Since 1987
Labels that stay on. Data that stays readable.
Independently owned in San Diego since 1987. Production-scale digital and flexo — 1,000 to 10 million. Biotech, government programs, RFID conversion, food, and supplements. Walk the plant. Pick up locally.
What we actually make.
Pressure-sensitive labels converted in San Diego: food and beverage, supplements, biotech, RFID, and industrial ID. Facestock, adhesive, and print method specced as one construction.
Send the container and the environment. We quote the run.

Built for demanding applications — not every trend on the shelf.
Biotech & Life Sciences
Cryogenic storage, solvent wipe-down, barcodes that scan, and variable data you can trace. Construction matched to the freezer — not a standard sticker.
Biotech labelsGovernment & Industrial
Durable identification, safety marking, and traceable production for program suppliers and industrial plants. Local manufacturing. Clear quotes. Dates you can plan around.
Government & Industrial labelsNutraceuticals
Supplement Facts, lot and expiry, and adhesives that hold on bottles and jars. Clear type. Repeatable color. Production-ready rolls.
Nutraceutical labelsFood & Beverage
FDA panels, moisture, refrigeration, and high-speed application. Labels that survive the cold case and still look like the brand.
Food & Beverage labelsRFID Labels
Inlay, facestock, and adhesive converted as one label. Read through a carton when a barcode cannot. Encoding is yours or a partner's — we convert the construction.
RFID labelsSpec the environment. Then spec the label.
Cold chain and freezer
Condensation, freeze–thaw, and handling. Freezer-grade adhesives — not a paper label hoping for the best.
Cryogenic
Ultra-low freezers and liquid nitrogen. Facestock and adhesive rated as a system. We recommend a test in your storage conditions before the production run.
Moisture and washdown
Films and coatings that hold through refrigeration, ice, and wet fill lines.
Chemicals and solvents
Print and adhesive that survive IPA wipe-down, oils, and industrial cleaners.
Variable data and barcodes
Lot, serial, GS1, and scan-critical codes. Consistency across the roll — not just the first label.
Tamper-evident and durable ID
VOID, destructible, and high-bond constructions for closures, assets, and field use.
How we run a job
- Spec review — Quantity, container, temperature, chemicals, and due date.
- Construction — Facestock, adhesive, print method, and finish matched to that environment.
- Inspect — Print consistency and barcode quality checked before the job ships.
- Ship or pick up — Fast turnarounds. Local pickup at our San Diego plant.
A San Diego manufacturer, not a national queue
You are next to food production, a biotech cluster, and industrial and defense suppliers. That is why local production matters: you can test material, talk to the people running the press, and pick up when freight is the delay.
Digital for short runs, versioning, and variable data. Flexo for volume. Same facility.
What buyers actually ask
- Will it stay on in the freezer?
- Will the barcode still scan after solvent or cold?
- Can you reprint this lot the same way next quarter?
- Can we see a sample before we commit the run?
If those are your questions, send the spec.
